Some of the artists, bands and musicians with whom I work...

Celluloid Sound System

Celluloid Sound System takes an experimental or cult film and creates a totally new soundtrack, performed live to the moving image - completely replacing the original sound to inspire fresh cinematic interpretation. Our work is semi-improvised and with the band I play bass, Kaossilator and various synths.

The Dhol Foundation

I was bass player for The Dhol foundation form 2007 - 2011 and was lucky enough to get to gig and tour all over the world with them. Founded by former Alaap member Johnny Kalsai, TDF take traditional Punjab Dhol drums and mix them with dance beats, breaks and electronic music.

Soul Direction

This is my functions band, again where I play bass, but also act as musical director. We perform mostly at private events, weddings birthday parties and coorporate shows, although we do the odd public performance too.

Beatroots

Beatroots is Reading's community samba band, for the most part I play repenique, but can also be found across the surdo section. I'm second mestre for the band meaning I occasionally 'lead' or 'conduct'.

EAD - Extended Audio Design

I’m proud to use and support EAD cabs, high quality, high fidelity bass cabs manufactured in the UK.

Hey Funky Drummer

Homepage of Stu Roberts, pro drummer, with whom I have been lucky enough to perform and deliver various workshops. Stu is on the faculty at Guildford's Academy of Contemporary Music, and has performed and toured all over the world.
